Miqueias Maia

I hold a degree in Information Systems and a Master's in Health Biotechnology, with research focused on the development and validation of medical devices and prototypes. I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Biosciences and Biotechnology at Fiocruz Ceará, in co-tutelle with Instituto Carlos Chagas (Fiocruz Paraná), where I study machine learning and virtual reality applied to neurorehabilitation of post-stroke patients. I also teach undergraduate courses in Systems Analysis and Development at Universidade de Fortaleza.

Bio for Devs was built to help me cross the knowledge gap between software engineering and bioinformatics. The content is structured around Alberts' Molecular Biology of the Cell, reframed through computational analogies — the same approach that helped me navigate cell and molecular biology during my PhD coursework.
